We at Good Shepherd share your joy and look forward to the day when your child will be welcomed into the Catholic Christian community of faith. We are excited to walk with you as you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism in this parish community.
“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments” (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213).
Through Baptism we are:
- Freed from sin and reborn as adopted sons and daughters of God
- Welcomed into the Body of Christ as members of His Church
- Freed from the power of darkness to walk in the light as children of God
- Made sharers in the mission of the Church
